(TOP LEFT)
The platforms
were deliberately designed
in an Airframe experiment that for
the first time produced and controlled a long
distance Airframe effect, that could be heard all the way out
into the front street at clear and fidelic volume, oops
I used that word 'fidelity' the wrong way fidelic
it was not what I meant was you could hear
outside in the front street everything
you could hear in the house back up
the long hall and around the corner
into the living room. The platforms
using small stretched metal slinkies
for a buck each at the dollar store first
started coming on the floor and two on the glass
table top, in front of the TV. The slinkies had to dangle
loose ended like snuffed up heavy worms, touching the carpet was
not as good as full dangle. The slinkies were strong enough to cause the
stiff art paper platforms to curl up. I came down one morning after
an evening of successfull tests and all of the slinkies
had curled, heavy humidity during the night had
softened the paper and that was the end
of the 'Airframe' testing era.

Under the
slinkies along the
floor are seen two six sided
vinegar jars, and a 6 sided ice cream
soda dish, at the three criss cross nodes raising
the nodes in the air. It was obvious that the nodes raised
had a better sound, leading to the idea of raising the whole stretched
array, leading to many problems to finally get the whole array
raised in a stable state.

(TOP RIGHT)
The first use of
wooden rods to raise
the stretched slinkies in
a controllable way. These are 4
foot square rods. Very hard to control
in their own right, it turned out. Soon replaced
by round rods of 6 foot length.

(BOTTOM RIGHT)
Notice a
commonality in
the heights of the rope
tricks in image 4, these heights
were gained by listening for best effect
when each 'Rope Trick' was being made. By the
time of the other photo (bottom left) there are other
'Rope Tricks' on the table behind the camera in the room, in
the dining room (my computer work station), the front hall, and in
the front office. It was in stretching out and making the 'Rope Tricks'
in the front room that a similarity in height was noticed. They were
brought back into the living room and all compared for height,
which is why a few are standing against the living room
wall (bottom right).
