HOAG'S GALAXY

Positive and negative material separation - yellow diffuse is positive, bright silver/blue ring is negative. The material in the diffuse center near the innner ring circumpherence, is tenuous, objects can be seen shining through from deep space beyond. A tiny galaxy upper right near ring, may be a ring galaxy similar to the Cartwheel, whose substance has been separated into two nearby galaxies, positive (yellow), negative (blue).

  BRAIN HUNT!

I wonder about those missing sensations

Big issue here. I cannot tell what criteria Hubble Heritage used to factor this image. There is hardly anything in it. What is in it, hardly shows a thing. Where is the criteria, why was this image factored and released showing hardly anything.

THE ORIGINAL

A ring around the center thing is good enough, if any attention had been paid to the ring, but none has. The center is a yellow gob, nothing more. Any enhancement, upscale, downwinding, any way I have tried, shows nothing more than a yellow gob in the center, which is in fact the inner galaxy.

Any enhancement shows more ring.

Good enough. The ring is an entirely different story. I have almost come to the conclusion that the ring is a magnetic monopole (circular) with electrical ring currents around it. For certain the ring has been created by impacts, that is, every diskal and platten plate and finger ring around the greater bandwidth ring, indicates formations from hits with other galaxies in prior collisions.

AN ORIGINAL PIECE - HARDLY ANYTHING IN IT

Now that we have a handle on the problem (moose snorting vociferously) let's get on with some solutions.

The same piece, showing hot action in the media.

The size and scale of the ring is the mystery. None of it has even been hinted in the Hubble heritage release and I am brain fried if I cannot figure out why a team at Hubble's heritage head office could have looked at this image for months and have not seen that the ring is this big.

For that matter, look below at other views. The ring is not an orbital, in that little of it seems to be making merry go rounds, if anything the whole ring is turning in toto and like a smoke ring, small local eddies seeth and curl in finger rings at right angles around the circumpherence.

Ps.This galaxy seems to have no other name but Hoag's. I am sure that the astronomer named Hoag, when first seeing it in monitor, blew pipe tobacco coals in reverse out the bowl covering the latest theoretical papers with tiny burn marks spread on the desk, then hollered aloud, calling collegues who in come running to have a look, and that first look accompanied by burning coals from the pipe bowl, is all they took, releasing it later with big fanfare to the public, missing the rest of the ring entirely.

The collegues who came running remembered Laurence racing up the hall in Berkely shouting 'R cancels R', 'R cancels R' to inagaurate the arrival of particle accelarators, one deranged physicist racing up a corridor hall hollowering at top lungs limbs akimbo deranged from the power of an abrupt discovery is enough for these people, two doing the same thing is merely a cliche.

In came the pros, and ooooed and awwwwwed and the deed was done, Heritage was contacted, and the result is history. The history is next, an image which has nothing in it.

Have a look at the original, then have a look at a simple enhancement the next image following, when you see the two back to back and see the comparison, you will understand why I evoked the moose to announce.

Inspector Luminous leans back, brushing coals from the glowing pipe glowing on the desk aside, thankful that none burned holes in his most important papers.

To tell you a secret, I don't like throwing jibes and blowing coals, I would prefer always to heap praise, buttttt...

There is a snub in the ring, in the 4 oclock position. The windings coiling around the ring at 9 oclock are a rattle

View 1

View 1 shows a vital sign not readily apparent in the other views - that the left side of the ring rises, subtely overshadowing the left centerglobe area, the right ring receeds, cupping in behind the centerglobe area, which means the ring clockface is rotated every so slightly to the right.

In fact the 5 oclock position is subtly jutting forward even more in a horizontal projection, the 11 oclock position in the ring is curling backward away from us.

This galaxy has wang in its ring, which would be more noticably pronounced if seen on edge. It is a different wang than yin yang, in the ring, one side curls up, the other curves down, in universally fundamental bi-lateral   symmetry

An assumptive suggest is the inner sphere (diffuse yellow) is positive, and the other ring with intricate coiling details is negative. This is similar to the Cartwheel galaxy's distribution, in which the inner parts are said to be without new star forming materials.

See how the ring currents around the rim of Hoags can be put to use creating a lenticular galaxy with ring currents around a long arm. Leap to the galaxies.htm.

More

Notice - brain sucking one last time - no remarks telling heritage how to do it - just remarks suggesting they should. Another spray of coals goes from the bowls out onto the shoals of the previous holes onto the spotted singed sheets of theory papers, this by engineers at heritage who happened to read the above remark. That moose you saw departing between two trees at the far end of the lake was answering a bellow heard from the next lake over. Moose know where to go when it comes time to get ......! Luminous grins, closing the book on this short story.
