THE KEYHOLE NEBULA - IN CARINA - INCLUDES HUMONGOUSLY ACTIVE STAR ETA CARINA

THE KEYHOLE NEBULA - BY HUBBLE - A SPECTACULAR PULLMOTOR

The Keyhole pullmotor with poles and cyclonics.

It has been called the 'Keyhole nebula'. An AAT photo is first, showing where the Hubble colorbrights correspond to places within the Carina mass nebula.

ETA

A large incise circle surrounds pat of the main event. This cyclonic is a sure sign of gravitonic pullmotor activity. Active star Eta Carina is marked on the map. Eta has its own pages, recent in the Eta-1.htm page (circ fall 2003), and earlier in the Eta.htm page.

HISTORY

Carina the mass nebula (which includes active star Eta Carina) has its own pages, both recent (circ fall 2003) the Carina.htm page, and the Carina-1.htm page.

The Keyhole pullmotor with Eta Carina as one of its powerful venting poles, was not yet recognized when the two Carina pages were drafted and uploaded to site online.

From this large image we get a good zoom. Active star Eta Carina is shining big and bright off on its own in the lower left. Notice in virtual 3d (focus image pairs together using your eyesight) the Eta is radiating brightly from below the surface. No appearance of the crystal incise arc seen in the black and white's photographed frequencies is in the colors following.

This view next is a composite by Hubble in which many different massmatched patches were used rather than image consistent colors and densities for all Hubble photo squares. Nevertheless, the ear, and central protruding shaft, are easily seen.

CYGNUS LOOP PULLMOTOR

More Cygnus Loop pullmotor images
The amazing Cygnus

The Cygnus Loop is incomplete, there is not enough ambiant materials to flesh out a full boar roaring pullmotor, what we see is a partial half of the central dynamo shaft with large ear cowling.

LAGOON MIGRATING PULLMOTOR

More Lagoon pullmotor images

The only image showing the Lagoon migrating pullmotor, is smurry, that is, imaging techniques by the telescope operating pros have produced an image with details smoothed out into color washes.

The following views have been re-oriented to bring the pullmotor ears into best possible alignment with the ears of the Cygnus Loop, and the Eta Carina pullmotor.

KEYHOLE NEBULA

Pillars, some seeming glombed together, float around the Keyhole nebula. The Eta tibetan plateau is inspected, and a volcanic caldera, with inconclusive ideas.

Pillar with relatives     The Keyhole volcanic caldera     Eta tibetan plateau

Like pillars seeming glombed together in the Eagle nebula forming gobule clumps, pillars floating around the Keyhole nebula also seem clumped.

A Keyhole pillar clump, with one pillar shaft jutting foreward into the open.

A second pillar (the snub of it) is seen jutting to the rear, lower down the flank of the clump, as more or less smoking cannon evidence that more than one pillar has clumped together, or, that pillar dynamics can have more than one pillar.

In pulled back view, a long tendril completes the object.

Another pillar clump, this one drifting within an overcast of haze.

A small dark dot of elliptical shape, floating nearby to the left, may by a planetary protodisk proplyd. Dark dots have been noticed here, and proplyds are examined here.

External eyestalks are seen, one detached drifts on its own in the outer left. A second eyestalk (if this is what it is) juts to a point from the left shank of the pillar.

Seeming eyestalks, without glowing globules or stars at the end, are seen within in the Keyhole, two in fact form curved short dark slashes across some Keyhole landscape.

The Keyhole nebula is also known as the Carina nebula, since it is the host of the famed super-explosive Eta Carinae star, and is also known by the keyword Ngc 3372. A 'Carina' study linked as more images through Hubble Heritage, has two images, now shown next, one shows the location of star Eta Carina, the other shows the Hubble color image, composited to scale over a larger black and white.

Major questions as to how the Keyhole (such a small ear in such a large plateau) can reside in a tibetan plateau that is square edged. Click for the tumbleweed questions about Eta.

Dss view (60x6) arcminutes, when suitably enhanced, shows the Keyhole nebula in full force. It is not a view that looks any different than other large scale Keyhole images, what is different is this well developed image is in a Dss plate that is mostly dark with only a vague island of some of the Keyhole. The Dss keyhole, enhanced, looks as follows, in fact it looks like it has been sideswiped, creating a long straight edge, or, even harder to engineer in thought pictures, the whole continent has lifted up like a slab of landmass along a fault zone.

A keyhole image from this APOD site shows details in the centerpiece, for instance concentric curved rils can be seen in textures around the right flank of the central strawberry. Famous Eta Carinae is in the large white dot to the lower left of the central strawberry. Two slightly different enhanced views help the eye to sort out small details.

A coherency is noticed in a bandshell surrounding the central rise and volcano. The corner seems as if having sunk, like a caldera of a massive volcano on Earth, here at Eta pumping out amazing amounts of energy.

At this point the sensibilities completely break down, overwhelmed by the extraordinary complexity and beauty of the volcanic eruption. The Eta Carinae star is hidden in the white blob in the lower left of the Keyhole nebula at center looking as always like an upright ear listening.

The following passage is repeated in questions raised about the core of giant spiral galaxy Ngc 5236.

It is hard to understand without deep physics that are not yet answered, how natural forces in cosmic nature can produce right angles, these seems the stuff of atomic crystals and matrix geometries. And yet, here is a right angle, in the core of Ngc 5236.

It is not the only high profile right angle visible in cosmic physics. The central tibetan plateau of the Eta nebula is a right angle in a particulary striking hard edged way.

A shift in tectonic plates in planetary sciences geophysics comes to mind but what can cause a whole plateau, such as Eta, to lift and separate drifting apart as if a solid. So, bouncing backwards in a tumbleweed motion, the next idea is sideswipes, one dense matter field drifting by in an alternate direction against the edge of another dense matter field, friction creating celestial energies of astonishing magnetudes for instance the super intense Eta star nebula itself and nearby a volcano (white conal plume in the lower right corner of the upper plate).

But, with these tumbling questions and ideas, it is only modelling so far, nothing is self evidently obvious as to what can cause right angle sundry matter fields, such as the Eta tibetan plateau.
