APOD for the Lagoon nebula
LAGOON NEBULA GLOW LIGHTS A LONG TRANSPARENT WORM
WHERE 'TWISTERS' AIN'T TWISTERS
The
bright star
causing all this fuss is
seen in the center of the blue area
Mistakenly
called 'tornados'
by zealous media, these
pillars are very slow motion
flows of entropy conducting heat
and energy from one region
to another, increasing
the entropy there
as the flows
increase
Blunt
ended pillars
in part from searing
blasts from hot nearby stars
contain higher entropy anyway, which
is one of the ways how entropy flow-streams
originate. The same PRINCIPLE (entropy
flowing uphill in streams) is operant
on grander scales in Cosmic acts
within and between galaxies
in clusters and super
clusters. It is
how entropy
becomes
increased and
concentrated over time
STAR DUST DIFFRACTION RINGS IN THE LAGOON NEBULA
Although
there are the
standard star sputs
criss-cross rays from the
struts of the telescope, irregular
concentric rings may be diffraction patterns
caused by light passing through haze or dust, something
like Sun dogs or rings around the Moon caused by high atmosphere
diffraction and disperson on Earth. A faint parallel ray declined
at a different vector angle can just be discerned alongside the
main south/east sputs ray, all indicating this starburst
may be more than just the bending of light by man
made artifacts. Furthermore, both north
aimed rays are diving into and
through small wallows
of dust. This
would not
be
natural
for merely 'rays'
caused by the telescope itself,
which (telescope caused) would be lineally
straight and thick, rapidly closing into a pinpoint spike
